International Men’s Day in the UK is on 19 November every year (Thursday this year) and it is celebrated around the world in at least 60 countries.

The three core themes for International Men’s Day in the UK are:

· Making a positive difference to the wellbeing and lives of men and boys · Raising awareness and/or funds for charities supporting men and boys’ wellbeing

· Promoting a positive conversation about men, manhood and masculinity.

FRADE, runs a very successful Men’s Shed in Middlesbrough creating exciting upcycled furniture through our new venture ‘Community Emporium’.

The Men’s Shed project aims to support Men who are feeling lonely or socially isolated and we have managed to support over 100 Men through this program.

Due to lockdown, we can only have a spatial celebration for International Men’s Day but rest assured we are still able to assist Men through our charitable aims.

If you are interested in learning more about our Men’s Shed contact either Shaun Khan or Michelle Tierney on 01642 245 927.

There's many ways for you to get involved.
