We are very excited to share the work that our dedicated Men’s Shed and Volunteers after spending months developing the gardens at the rear of FRADE, 426 Marton Road, Middlesbrough.
FRADE has taken over the shop next door, refurnished this into our first ‘Community Emporium’ upcycled shop and convinced our landlord to allow us to beautify the rear gardens as well.
With the help of the Royal Navy and Middlesbrough Voluntary Development Agency [MVDA] we have tackled this overgrown garden and created some nice, calming and relaxing spaces for staff and volunteers alike.
We are also very grateful to Middlesbrough Council for their kind donation which allowed us to buy much needed new tools for our Men’s Shed project.
Local pastor, Mr Billy Barnes is also helping Frade to find its green fingers and creating a vegetable garden and poly tunnel to create our own masterpieces.
“We are so proud of our staff, volunteers and stakeholders for volunteering their time and energy, to help create this wonderful safe haven” stated CEO Michael Bertram.
We'd like to say a huge thanks also to Middlesbrough Environmental City [MES] for arranging the Royal Navy to help out with the Mens Shed.
