How it all began

Ageing Better Middlesbrough approached us because they wanted a place where men could go to socialise, learn new skills and get involved with carpentry, furniture restoration and painting! The aim is to get men out of the house and mixing with people that share the same interests. No one should be stuck at home feeling lonely and socially excluded. Ageing Better thought we would make the perfect partner.

Naturally we loved the idea and with their help we cleared a large storage area at the rear of our Marton Road shop and employed a sessional worker who was already a volunteer at the store.
